Welcome to Vidding.com. Home is a very transitory thing when it comes to fandom. There are very few social networking spaces where fans can gather that last very long. In real estate terms, the main issue is the difference between renting and owning. If the landlord raises your rent, sells their building or decides they don’t like renting to you then you may be forced to find another place. A domain is different. A domain name is like buying a plot of land. There is no building. It’s an address where something can be built. You are not renting. You own. Just like any place in the world people can visit it. However, with a domain you don’t even need to leave your home to find a domain of your own. Vidding.com

 

This domain was purchased in 2023. The cost was approximately 4k. You may or may not have heard a request for funds to purchase it either through GoFundMe or some other method like Patreon. What is the future of the site?

We are starting small. We have a contact form which can be used for positive feedback, information, questions, suggestions and the good ole negative feedback with a side of non-constructive criticism. If we did anything “wrong” it was not intentional. As much as possible, we constructed the site to be what we would think would be a good start. A definition of Vidding, acknowledgement of those who contributed, a blog, contact form and of course a showcase of some classic examples of vids. You can help support the future of the site by joining our Patreon. There are many “vidding projects” in the works. The domain was just the first acquisition. Your money is not going to corporation with an exit strategy. Our goal is two-fold. Preservation and celebration of the art of Vidding
